GDC Talk - An Indie Approach to Procedural Animation



This GDC really motivated me to try something new with animation.  I remember watching videos of Overgrowth's development and being impressed with how dynamic the character was.  After watching this video I became fascinated with procedural animation.  The idea of assisting the animator with code sounds great.  By coding certain movements it seems like you will get more dynamic and fluid movements and decrease the work for the animator.  Time to give it a try.

Emissive Panning Shader Update



Made a few adjustments to the Shader.  The request was individual texture maps for masks instead of pulling channels from one map and a static Emissive map. The Amplify Graph is displayed below.

Note: Emissive Texture, PanRot1, and PanRot2 are both set to default black as opposed to white so they aren't required if you don't need extra effects.
